- 1Administration BuildingThe Administration Building is located on the central axis of the campus, which is formed by the main gate, the Administration Building, the Tuzi Building, the Student Activity Center and the Indoor Sports Center. The Library and the Administration Building are six stories high, and all other campus buildings are four stories or less.
- 2Arts BuildingNational Dong Hwa University and National Hualien University of Education officially merged in 2008, and after the merger the Arts Building was gradually established.

- 12Science and Engineering Building IScience and Engineering Building I belongs to the College of Science and Engineering. Shortly after the Hualien earthquake of April 2024, a fire broke out on the D side of Science and Engineering Building I; because the building contained water-reactive substances, rescue was difficult, and the fire burned for nearly 10 hours before it was put out.

- 17Indigenous Studies BuildingThe Indigenous Studies Building was established in 2001 with support from the Council of Indigenous Peoples, Executive Yuan, and according to Wikipedia it is the first Indigenous studies college in Taiwan. The college covers the fields of ethnic relations and culture, Indigenous development, Indigenous arts, Indigenous language communication and Indigenous social work.

- 27Dormitory I (Xieyun)Dormitory I (Xieyun) is a graduate student dormitory with individual single rooms, furnished with wood-textured desks and chairs, bookshelves, wardrobes and beds. Each floor has 4-8 rooms, sharing one living room and several sets of bathroom facilities; all dormitories at National Dong Hwa University are European-style manor buildings.
