Kokodot (kokodot.com, "we" or "us") provides a service that turns a park's guide map into a phone map. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. When visitors use the map
- Location is computed only in your phone's browser. Once you start locating, the browser checks whether you're inside the park and sends us only "inside", "outside" or "unsure". Your location never leaves your phone; we do not receive or store it.
- Visitor map pages do not use Google Analytics and do not set tracking cookies.
- We record only anonymous events: a map being opened (with its interface language and how it was reached, such as a QR code scan, a search engine or another website), which spot or facility is tapped, whether you've dragged or zoomed the map, and whether you're inside the park. These records contain no IP address and no ID that could identify you or your device.
- To estimate how many devices use the map each day, your browser notes locally whether it has opened this map today, and sends only a "first open today" flag.
2. Operators and applicants
- When you fill in the "Get a free demo" form, we collect: park name and type, website link, guide map file or link, contact name and job title, email, and your message. We also record the "landing page" and "referring site" of the first public page you visited (only the page path and the site's domain, no personal data). They stay in your browser for 90 days and reach us only when you submit the form.
- Park data that the operator provides or asks us to update (spots, photos), and the calibration point positions and GPS accuracy submitted by the operator's staff through the staff calibration link.
- Payments are handled by the payment provider Creem. Credit card data is held by Creem, and we do not obtain it.
3. How we use data
- To reply to your inquiry, build a demo and contact you.
- To provide and operate the service, and to handle payments, receipts and renewal notices.
- To understand visits to public pages (such as the homepage) and improve the website.
- To give operators anonymous usage statistics (opens, languages, sources, and whether visitors are inside the park).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to those above.
4. Third-party services we use
- Cloudflare: website hosting, data storage and sending email.
- Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia): payments and receipts; the merchant of record for transactions.
- Google: web fonts.
- Counterscale: anonymous visit statistics.
These services may process data outside Taiwan.
5. Storage and retention
Data is stored in access-restricted cloud storage and encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Request form data is kept until it has been handled and is no longer needed; a request whose email address was never confirmed is deleted, along with any uploaded file, 30 days after it was sent; billing records that the law requires us to keep are kept as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time. Anonymous statistics are kept long-term as daily totals.
6. Your rights
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you may inquire about, review, copy, supplement or correct your data, and you may ask us to stop collecting, processing or using it, or to delete it. Just email us and we will handle your request as soon as possible.
7. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced on this page; operators with a purchased plan will also be notified by email.
8. Company
The data controller for the personal data described in this policy is:
- Ensky Co., Ltd., Taipei, Taiwan
- Email: hi@kokodot.com
